On The Category You'd Like Your Message To Reside:
Most important: Do NOT post more than one message in each of the sections - they will ALL be deleted if you do.
Do NOT post for services that do not help locate missing people. Your ISP will be contacted.
See below for further instructions.
We print messages occasionally outside the website. If you do NOT want your message printed, please add the words "do not print my message outside this website" in the body of your message.
NOTE: When you place a message in The Seeker, you will hear from us periodically. That is mostly to ensure your email address stays current; to tell you about upcoming laws, or events; or to just tell you about new sites and helpful tips on finding your missing person.
If you do not want to hear from us, please do not place a message in The Seeker. We apologize for that inconvenience, but we have way too many bounced emails, and too many passed reunion announcements, this is our way of making sure your email addy is current. We will send you a Newsletter periodically, but if you don't want to read it, don't. It is that simple.
If you change your email addy, please know that we can't change it in one day's notice. If you want to add something, the same applies. Attention to detail on your part makes it easier on our part. We will make changes as time permits.
Be sure you put your correct email address in here, AOL users, you MUST put @aol.com in it. We have so many people who try to reach someone who posts with us, but the email address bounces back. That is very disheartening.
When you post looking for an adoptee related person, use the date of the adoptee as the common denominator if possible. Post the date several ways, i.e., 10/10/56, 10-10-56, October 10, 1956.
If you post looking for a "Sue", also put Susan, or however you would spell a name that could be written more than one way.
After posting, be sure and use our Site Seeking section for many searchable and helpful sites, including telephone book type directories. If you haven't already been there, go to our Instruction page to help navigate through the Site.
Our Factually Seeking section also has tips on locating people. And our Frequently Asked Questions can answer most of your questions. If not, write to us at [email protected]
We have our very own "Search Angels" who will contact you to help you in your search. They are free "angels". You can see who they are at our Angels page.
The Seeker does not tolerate spam (unwanted email). If you are contacted by someone who solicits you, please do NOT respond to them, they spam this site and numerous newsgroups. Please forward their message to spammers @ the-seeker.com - without the spaces.
The Seeker does NOT condone spamming! You will be reported to your ISP immediately.
